Overview
"Wireless CPU" is Wavecom's new nomenclature for each of its GSM/GPRS
hardware products. The term is used to convey the full capabilities of
these devices - no longer just serial GPRS modems, but, in conjunction
with Open AT®, capable of hosting complex applications which more fully
utilise the available hardware resources.
The range comprises of
five product families: Q24 Series, Q26 Series, Wireless Microprocessor,
Fastrack and Integra. The brief descriptions below should assist with
product selection; the separate product pages have further details,
together with links to documentation.
The Q24 series is a family of PCB mounted ARM7 based products, suitable for a wide variety of GSM/GPRS based applications.
The PCB mounted Q26 Series is smaller than the Q24 Series, but with enhanced processing and hardware resources.
A powerful, 32 bit embedded computing core with support for global
cellular communications, complete with a comprehensive operating system
and application software development environment.
The robust, standalone Wireless CPU with RS232 interface is being
updated. The Fastrack Supreme will provide a highly flexible,
programmable platform for customer applications.
The Integra is PCB mounted, and offers an easy route to hardware integration, with 5V power supply requirement.
