Wavecom IP (WIP)

The Wavecom IP Plug-Ins (WIP) provides a set of communcations protocols for use during GSM or GPRS data transfers, or locally when communicating using the UARTs on a Wireless CPU. There are two WIP Plug-Ins available; the TCP/IP Plug-In and the Internet Plug-In.

The TCP/IP Plug-In provides the ability to:

• Create and use TCP Client and Server Sockets
• Create and use UDP Sockets
• Configure and issue PING Requests
  

The Internet Plug-In adds:

• FTP Client for file transfers
• SMTP/POP3 EMAIL Clients
• HTTP Client functionality

The WIP Plug-Ins are available for use in Open AT applications, for all Wireless CPUs. In addition, versions controlled by AT Commands are available for Q24 Series, Integra and Fastrack Wireless CPUs.

Further developments, providing additional features to the WIP Plug-Ins, will be announced during 2007.
